Noise Fetish

Noise Fetish is a name that’s been used by me since mid-90’s. Originally it was used for the ‘Noise Fetish Minizine’, which was an irregular magazine presented in a form of a single html file, with reviews of whatever music I bought or books I read.

At some point I envisioned it as a band name, at another as a label name. Finally, I have settled for it as my general website name which I also use wherever I can’t use my pen name, Aurora Borealis.

At this point I don’t remember the origins of NF, other than the fact that I do have a certain obsession with noise as a source of music.

Aurora Borealis

Around 2004 I’ve been searching for a new pen name. Something that could function both as a nickname and a full name, and preferably tied into my gender issues. Aurora by itself implies femininity (as it’s a feminine name), but as a weather phenomenon, it is neither male nor female.

But who is Aurora Borealis, you might ask? Aurora Borealis is a pangender entity stuck in a male body, born somewhere in the middle of 1980 in a boring corner of a country commonly known as Poland.

In other words: Me.

Coilstar Press

Coilstar Press is (for now) simply my publishing name. A cool logo I like to stuff somewhere on the cover or the credits section of my comics, books, sketchbooks and everything else that goes onto paper. The name ties into Din Krakatau, my first ever longform comic (to be redrawn as volume one of Amen City Chronicles at a future date).

Pink Noise Inferno

It’s a name for my all-in-one audio project. Over the years I’ve been using various names to record under (more about it on the Pink Noise Inferno page itself) and finally have decided to put it all under one banner. Pink Noise Inferno is that banner, uniting about 500 tracks recorded by me since 1997.
